July 2019 7.10 | JUPITER’S DARLING Movies at the Museum series features Jupiter’s Darling, which was partially filmed on Catalina Island and features Esther Williams and Howard Keel. 7.24 | WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT Movies at the Museum series features the 1988 film that combines live-action and animated characters. Roger Rabbit is accused of murder and at one point talks about escaping to Catalina Island. August 2019 8.7 | BEYOND THE POSEIDON ADVENTURE Movies at the Museum series features this Michael Caine and Sally Field film that includes water scenes filmed off Catalina Island. 8.21 | MULTIPLICITY This science fiction film, starring Michael Keaton and Andie McDowell, includes segments in which Keaton dreams about taking his wife to Catalina for a romantic getaway. September 2019 9.6–EARLY 2020 ESTHER WILLIAMS: THE SWIMMING QUEEN OF THE BIG SCREEN In this exhibit, the life of champion swimmer and Hollywood actress Esther Williams is chronicled.
